Personal Site Favourite Character: Peeta Why I love the series: The Hunger Games is a compelling series - the books are well paced and contain believable characters that exist in a rich and detailed world. The themes of romance, politics and death expressed through the innocence of children make this a truly marvelous and gripping series.

I read book I months before book II was released, and was lucky enough to get an advance readers copy of that, and subsequently read both books in a week. The style of writing and storyline has a firm grasp on the imagination, making for truly great books.

The struggle between Katniss and The Capital pulls me in the most. So do the characters, all of which I now care about deeply. I feel that reading The Hunger Games has changed me for the better.
